Making Chautauqua County Shovel-Ready
The County of Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency (CCIDA) is continuously working to identify and develop shovel-ready sites within Chautauqua County. There are currently two shovel-ready projects in development, with a goal of having both completed in 2026. In addition, the CCIDA is working to identify other locations in the county for future shovel-ready development.

Brownfield Redevelopment Tax Credits are available to help offset the cost of remediation and to encourage private-sector redevelopment of brownfield properties enrolled in the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP).
The Brownfield Opportunity Area (BOA) Bump-Up:
An increase of up to 5% of the allowable tangible property tax credit component of the Brownfield Redevelopment Tax Credit may be available for any project on a site enrolled in the BCP.
