NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing pursuant to Open Meeting Law, Article 7, Chapter 56, Section 103-a (the “Open Meetings Law”) will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 10:30 a.m.., local time, by the County of Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency (the “CCIDA”), the Chautauqua Region Economic Development Corporation (the “CREDC”), and the Chautauqua County Capital Resource Corporation (the “CRC,” and collectively with the CCIDA and the CREDC, the “Agency”) at BWB Building, 2nd Floor Board Room, 201 West Third St., Jamestown, NY 14701, in connection with the following matter:
Public Meeting Videoconferencing Policy.
The Agency will review and consider proposed written procedures governing member and public attendance via videoconferencing for members to participate in meetings of the Agency from a private location when necessitated by extraordinary circumstances or for members with a disability (the “Video Conferencing Policy”) in accordance with Section 103-a of the Public Officers Law (the “POL”). The POL allows the use of videoconferencing by public bodies when a quorum of the board, committee or subcommittee is present in-person or at public locations. Members of the board or committee may attend and participate in open meetings of the board or committee in a location that is not open to the public if an “extraordinary circumstance” or a qualified disability is the cause for video attendance. Public bodies that wish to permit members to videoconference in from a private location must establish written procedures governing the use of video conferencing. The public will also be given opportunity to attend via video conference.
A representative of the Agency will be at the above-stated time and place to present a copy of the Agency’s draft Video Conferencing Policy and hear and accept written and oral comments from all persons with views relevant to the Video Conferencing Policy. A copy of the draft Video Conferencing Policy is available on the Agency’s website at www.ccida.com.
Pursuant to Section 857 of the General Municipal Law, the public hearing will be streamed on the Agency’s website in real-time, at the following URL https://www.youtube.com/@ChooseCHQ. A recording of the public hearing will be posted and maintained on the Agency’s website.
The Agency encourages all interested parties to submit written comments to the Agency, which will be included within the public hearing record. Any written comments may be sent via email to geisem@chqgov.com with the subject line being “Re: Videoconferencing Policy” no later than October 27, 2025.
