Live CHQ is excited to be a promotional partner with the United Way of Chautauqua County (UWCHQ) for its first ever “Day of Caring“ – a countywide initiative that work to partner local residents and volunteers with nonprofits and school districts from across the County!
Scheduled for Friday, Aug. 15, 2025 – individuals, community groups, and business teams are encouraged to sign up for the volunteer registration, which runs through August 10. Through this event, United Way will be connecting individuals, families, corporate teams and other groups with more than 15 hands-on service projects at local nonprofits, schools and other agencies. Each project is designed to help the organizations advance their missions through support with tasks like landscaping, painting, organizing, cleaning and general maintenance.
In addition to support from Live CHQ, the UWCHQ’s 2025 Day of Caring is being sponsored by Refresco and Wells. Throughout the day on Aug. 15, the Wells ice cream truck will make periodic stops at many of the sites with ice cream for volunteers.
“This initiative is a powerful example of how we can mobilize the caring power of our community for meaningful, viable impact,” said Katie Castro, UWCHQ Director of Advancement. “When you register for Day of Caring, you’re doing more than giving a few hours of your time — you’re helping United Way support families at every stage of life.”
All projects are three hours long. Morning projects will run from 9 a.m. to noon with afternoon projects running from 1 to 4 p.m. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, every volunteer will receive a Day of Caring t-shirt to wear at their project site.
